How can I explain to you what this day means to me?

Honestly.

It is beyond me.

Perhaps when I return to my research on Angkor Watt it will flow.

As you know the aim of this blog is to find the miraculous in all things, those of you who have travelled with me will know that I am constantly searching and trying to find similarities rather than differences in all religions. I am neither a theologian nor a scholar and like my mother before me I want to understand.

And yet here it is, the ultimate gifts of knowledge, wisdom and understanding are mine for the taking. To use wisely, without fear and with a deep sense of gratitude. To share with you all in a sense of wonder and awe.

If I can believe, surrender of my ego and humbly accept what is offered to me on this day of days; Pentecost Sunday.

Note to self

A well there you have it, on Pentecost Sunday the Advocate came to the apostles of Jesus and bestowed on them the gifts of the Holy Spirit enhancing  wisdom and a deep understanding of  life .

And, it is   promised this self-same Spirit will come to you and me as well. All we have to do is ask.

 As the Good Book says

Something appeared to them that seemed like tongues of fire; these  separated and came to rest on the head of each of them. They were all filled with Holy Spirit and began to speak foreign languages ’ (Acts 2:1)

The seven gifts of the Holy Spirit include

Wisdom,

Understanding,

Right Judgement,

Courage,

Knowledge,

Reverence,

Wonder and Awe

Gosh, it is  mind blowing when you think about it.

I mean who wouldn’t want these gifts, right?

Receiving  them  sure would enhance this blog!!

As I said before all I  have to do is,  believe and surrender to the message of Love  that was given to us by Jesus Christ  over 2000 years ago

And perhaps I should not worry to much about the institution which drives Catholic Church .
