It may be hard to believe but it’s true, Ha Long Bay dates back to a tectonic age from 250 to 280 million years ago. And at that time, the entire area is totally submerged in water

Wonderful trip 2 years ago now

Legend has it that the Gods sent a family of dragons to help defend the land. When the Great Mother Dragon plunged into the sea, thousands of tiny islands sprung up like perils from the ocean floor which linked together to form a great wall of protection against invaders. The name, Ha Long  means’ Descending Dragon’ After the defeat of the invading forces the dragon family decided the live in the bay, the mother in Ha Long bay and the dragon children,in Ba Tu Long bay.

The islands of Ha Long Bay are one of the most ancient geographical sites in the world dating back to a tectonic age from 250 to 280 million years ago. At that time residues suggest that the bay was totally submerged in water.

I’m almost done! I need a title for my new book!

IMG_1319It is this time of year again!Everyone around me at the moment is feeling lethargic, suffering from some sort of  flu. It is  cold, dark and wet outside. Death has claimed friends and loved ones including the beloved David Bowie. I did not know him. Nonetheless, I loved him. He was my hero and the world is a lesser place without him. My mother -being the eternal optimist, would say that the world is a better place because of him.

Like many people in Ireland back in the day, my mother also swore that  pepper in boiled milk was great for you if you were suffering from ‘sniffles’, colds or flu.

How can I explain to you what this day means to me?

It is beyond me.

Perhaps when I return to my research on Angkor Watt it will flow.

I am neither a theologian nor a scholar and like my mother before me I want to understand.

And yet here it is, the ultimate gifts of knowledge, wisdom and understanding are mine for the taking. To use wisely, without fear and with a deep sense of gratitude. To share with you all in a sense of wonder and awe.

If I can believe, surrender of my ego and humbly accept what is offered to me on this…

I am a Health Therapists and like many others in my field I was initially attracted to a profession that allowed me to fix people. I had all the answers for health and well-being. Now that I am older and wiser still I realise that there is absolutely nothing I can say or do to make another change their behavior.

Iam still writing that controversial book so still re-blogging at the moment. Hugs and Love Yours m t

img_1319The only gift I can offer the suffering is my silence and yet after all these years, I find it difficult to really listen. The habits, patterns, motivations of a life time imprinted in my soul. O that I could be the person described in the anonymous poem below…

I know you are listening when:

You come quietly into my private world and allow me to be me

You really try to understand me even when I am not making much sense

You grasp my point of view even when it goes against your own sincere convictions

You realise the time I have taken from you has left you a bit tired and a bit drained

You allow me the dignity of making my own decisions, even though you think they may be wrong

You don’t take my problem from me, but allow me to deal with it in my…
